Australian Religion

History:
Native Australian's religions were more of spiritual believes, but like the Native Americans had in the United States. The Indigenous Australians were full of traditions, and a great deal of spiritual belief that help retell stories of their religion and mythological stories. In the early nineteenth century, the Europeans arrived on Australian land and brought their religion along with them, which means, the Christian Church. Present day Australia keeps the tradition that the European nation offered and has the dominate religion of Christianity. Judaism entered Australia in 1788 and continued to grow post the second World War. When South East Asian pioneers immigrated into the country, they brought along Buddhism. Hinduism and the Muslim religion also arrived in Australia in the early nineteenth century and its numbers still continue to grow. Australia's religious history is very much shares a similar religious history to the United States, It is full of many thriving religions that still continue to grow and prosper as the years continue.

Religion in Australian Societies:
Similarly to the United States, religion seems to be be a dwindling concept within the culture. While many claim that religion is something important to them, it isn't as important to the people as other things within their lives. While many say that the terrorist attacks on September 11th has caused discomfort toward the Muslim faith within the Australian community. Hate crimes against the religion had spread quickly after the attacks toward the religion. However, Australia has tried to shape up the conversation between the different religions within the country. With so many religions it's hard to open communication because everyone feels that they cannot relate. With efforts, many hope that the conversations between the religions will help the country. Christianity also continues to break down into many other groups and less structured groups, due to more technological advances in the world as a whole.
